
Carrie-Anne Moss was born August 21, 1967 and is a Canadian actor. After early roles on television and film, she gained international fame for her part of Trinity in The Matrix series (1999-present). She was a part of Memento (2000) for which she received the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Female. Red Planet (2000), Chocolat (2000), Fido (2006), Snow Cake (2006) for which she was awarded the Genie Award for Best Performance by an actor in a supporting role, Disturbia (2007), Unthinkable (2010), Silent Hill: Revelation (2012) as well as Pompeii (2014). Jessica Jones (2015), 2015-2019) and Unthinkable (2010) were among her TV roles. Moss was a resident in Spain at the time, was given the role of Tara Marshall who was the clerk to Judge Nicholas Marshall, in Dark Justice. It was her first TV appearance. In 1992, she relocated with the show from Barcelona to Los Angeles. Moss left Dark Justice in the third and final season. She was replaced by Elisa Hingsohn, who played Samantha Collins. She enrolled at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena following her return and she subsequently starred in Fox's soap opera in primetime Models Inc., a spin-off of Melrose Place, as a model. The show ended in July of 1995. show was ended. Matrix was a brief-lived made in Canada series. 3 Throughout the 1990s, she starred in various television series, like Street Justice, Baywatch, F/X: The Series, and Due South, for which she received a nomination for the Gemini Award for Best Guest actress in the Drama. Many of her film roles during the decade were B films, including Flashfire (1994), The Soft Kill (1994), Tough Guy (1994), Lethal Tender (1996), Sabotage (1996) as well as The Secret Life of Algernon (1997).
