Niykee's personal highlights include being hand-picked to join Snoop at the YouTube Brandcast, in May 2013, and writing songs, despite the turbulence of the past few years. She is a constant magnet for new producers beginning their careers. A lot of tracks she gets are a source of song ideas. After just five minutes when I'm able to determine if a particular beat is worth it. Then I can get an idea of a song's whole concept in my brain and I start to write. If I am sitting on my back porch playing guitar, the lyrics just flow and are usually done in less than 30 minutes. Niykee keeps working on her abilities as a poet and lyricist. She notes how the trauma she endured during her childhood has served as an infinite source of unique ideas. She says that even when she's not composing about the things which have actually happened, all of her pain through her childhood and loss of her sister finds its way into the music. This influences my music and helps to create this greater meaning under everything which is among the most significant things for me. I want to be able to say that I could listen to any of my songs in 20 years down the road and be proud of what I said.
