Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is an American-Canadian singer-songwriter. Her catalog includes more than twenty albums. Her music is categorized as folk, alternative and rock but also has influences of jazz and hip-hop. Ani Difranco is recognized as an icon for feminist music. In 1990 she was one of the first artists to create her own independent record label. DiFranco was born in Buffalo New York on September 23 1970 the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross) and Dante Americo DiFranco The couple had made acquaintance while studying at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her mother and father were both born in Montreal. Montreal origin. Ani DiFranco composed and performed 32 Flavors. The track is part of her album from 1995 Not a Pretty Girl, which was DiFranco's sixth studio release. On the soundtrack of 1999's Canadian romantic film Better Than Chocolate is a version of the song. In 2013, DiFranco apologized after it was revealed that she was hosting a three-day workshop on an old Louisiana plantation for slaves. Many (including us) did not feel impressed by her decision. DiFranco offered an apology only a few days after. Little Folksinger is a singer who has performed with artists ranging from Pete Seeger, Chuck D and Prince. New Orleans is her home. Ani DiFranco lives with Kristen Ford. She was 14 when she began to write her own music. She sang them in coffee shops and bars throughout her teens. DiFranco was enrolled in Buffalo State College when she was sixteen and a half years old. She earned her degree from in the Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts when she was just 16 years old. Ani's custom Alvarez baritone design was conceived after several meetings we held with Chrys Johnson, who was the representative of artist for Alvarez. The guitar is an System 600 guitar with solid woods, including cedar for the top with mahogany back and sides, and ebony on the fretboard. She is at her home in New Orleans with her husband with two kids, as well as Lefty the dog with a long leash that wanders in the distance and away as we talk. DiFranco is open about the fact that she feels mixed emotions about her previous career that spans over three decades. Ani DiFranco, a pop/punk singer and songwriter when she was the age of 25 when her album Not A Pretty Girl hit the charts. Dilate, released in 1996, gained even more popularity amongst her fans. "Brandy" (You're a Beautiful Girl) by American Popular Rock group Looking Glass is from the album Looking Glass. Elliot Lurie wrote the song. He is also the singer and guitarist for Looking Glass.
