Coleman is Lancashire-born. She graduated from Arnold School Blackpool, where she scored straight A's for A-levels. In a discussion about her appearance on Emmerdale, Coleman admitted regrets that she did not go to the university. Coleman participated in a club called In Yer Space at her school. The group performed Crystal Clear in Edinburgh Festival. An award was presented to her for her show, and the production was received well. When she was auditioning for drama schools, Coleman was offered the role of Jasmine Thomas in Emmerdale in 2005. Coleman was nominated in 2007 for two Awards. In 2007, the British Soap Awards nominated her as the best newcomer. In the National Television Awards, she received the award for best newcomer with the highest popularity. In the British Soap Awards of 2009 she was awarded in the categories of Best Actress and Sexiest female, as well as the Best acting in a Drama. Coleman was awarded a Television Choice Award nomination for Best Actress. Steven Moffat, the producer of Doctor Who confirmed in a 21st March 2012 press conference that Coleman will be Matt Smith's partner after Karen Gillan left. Moffat selected her because of how well she could work with Smith and also because she was faster at speaking than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She has been in the industry for over 30 years and is involved in a variety of TV and film projects. But she's been more well-known on television rather than in movies. Of all the roles Eva has appeared in on television shows, Dr. Maria Santos in All My Children and the detective Natalia Boa Vista' in CSI Miami are the two that are the most notable. The first role she played on TV earned her 2 Daytime Emmy nominations, and helped her develop her love for music. Alongside being an actress, Eva is also a philanthropist as well as an businesswoman. She has been married three times and has a daughter with her second spouse.
